Historical Field Data
From TERN Landscape Assessment Wiki
Over past decades, a large number of field-based measurements have been collected or acquired over mangroves throughout Australia but many remain outside the public domain and often there is no or limited knowledge of their existence. For this reason, TERN is encouraging these data to be identified, collated and presented in a common format (with appropriate metadata) for public release. Available datasets can be accessed below.
- Field data, Daintree National Park, Queensland
- Structural characteristics of mangrove forests: Compilation of LAI and other variables for experimental and survey sites
This component allows individuals to submit historical datasets including:
- Plot-based measurements of tree size (e.g., diameter, height, canopy cover), including by species type.
- Dead material
- Soil carbon
These data ideally should be submitted according to pre-established TERN protocols and, for further information, please contact Matt Paget.
